Why Choose a Reactive Polyether Polyol Carrier Paste?

PUE color pastes are pre-dispersed pigment concentrates with a polyether polyol carrier, not conventional phthalate or mineral plasticizers. Because the carrier is chemically compatible with the polyol component of the polyurethane formulation, it reacts into the polymer network instead of remaining as a free, migrating liquid.

Key Benefits

  • No Structural Disruption: Does not affect foam stability, cell nucleation, or profile lift
  • No Shelf Life Impact: Does not affect start, gelation, or demixing times
  • Suitable for High-Ratio Machine Foaming: Stable coloring without affecting process parameters

Applications

Polyurethane Foam

Flexible Foam (Slabstock)Furniture cushions, mattresses, and molded parts. High-color-strength grades deliver deep, uniform tones at low loadings without compromising foam breathability.

Rigid Insulation FoamAppliance insulation, continuous laminates, and spray foam. Heat-stable pigments (up to 270°C) withstand the exothermic cure of PIR/PUR panels and maintain color.

Memory Foam (Viscoelastic)Slow-recovery bedding, pillows, and medical positioners. Low-viscosity pastes prevent cell collapse and surface defects in temperature-sensitive viscoelastic formulations.

Elastomers, Footwear & Artificial Leather

Shoe Soles & InsolesDirect-injection and molded soles, sandals, and wedges. Vibrant, lightfast colors that do not migrate to upper materials; suitable for both microcellular and compact PU systems.

Industrial Rollers & WheelsPolyurethane coatings for industrial rollers, forklift wheels, and skateboard wheels. Heat-stable pigments resist friction-induced heating and maintain color under dynamic loads.

Sports & LeisureCourt coatings, decking, fitness equipment, skateboard wheels, and water products. Weather-resistant high-strength grades for outdoor use.

Artificial Leather (PU/PVC)Coagulation and dry-process artificial leather. Plasticizer-free carrier prevents pigment migration, exudation, and blooming on finished leather.

Cast Elastomers & SealsGaskets, hydraulic seals, O-rings, and engineering components. Chemically resistant phthalocyanine and DPP pigments maintain color stability in oil, solvent, and hydraulic environments.

Artificial Turf BackingBlack and colored elastomeric backing for artificial turf. Weather- and UV-resistant dispersion bonds firmly to the backing and maintains excellent color retention.

Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Special Applications (CASE)

PU Adhesives & Structural BondingOne- and two-component polyurethane adhesives for packaging, automotive, and construction applications. No impact on viscosity, open time, cure speed, or green strength.

Industrial and Chemical-Resistant FlooringSelf-leveling and poured PU flooring. Stable color that doesn't compromise abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, or weatherability.

Pultrusion & CompositesContinuous pultruded profiles. Stable dispersion in resin baths with no settling, no disruption of fiber wetting or material flow.

Sealants & Joint FillersConstruction and expansion joint sealants. Non-migrating pigments prevent staining on porous substrates such as concrete, marble, and natural stone.

Waterproof CoatingsHand-applied and sprayed PU membranes. Low-viscosity pastes prevent pinholes and foaming in moisture-cured systems.

Medical & HealthcareMedical foams, prosthetic components, and device housings. Phthalate-free, low-VOC formulations enable controlled-environment manufacturing.
